An Emmy Award Contributor Winner, Drama Desk Award Nominee, and Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement (Attraction) Winner, Matthew is a prop & puppet fabricator/designer and production coordinator. Coordinator of Global Themed Entertainment at Sesame Workshop and formerly with Walt Disney Imagineering on the Magic Kingdom Design Services team, Matthew is focused on bringing exciting stories to life and creating memorable experiences for guests and audiences. He was the Lead Puppet & Prop Builder and Puppet & Prop Coordinator for Disney Theatrical and Rockefeller Productions' Disney's Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Stage Adaptation which played to rave reviews off-Broadway in NYC before embarking on a national tour. His prop and puppet work can also be seen in Little Shop of Horrors (off-Broadway 2019 revival), the national tour of Hamilton, Mrs. Doubtfire, Diana: A True Musical Story, To Kill a Mockingbird, and on Comedy Central. Matthew has freelanced with Jim Henson's Creature Shop and has worked on Sesame Street season 50, in addition to projects for the Coca Cola Company and Princess Cruise Line. Matthew works seasonally with the Operations Team for Macy's Branded Entertainment, helping to put on events such as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular. Additionally, as a former Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus clown where he performed daily to tens of thousands of spectators and made hundreds of PR television appearances, Matthew understands both the behind the scenes and onstage aspects of creating memorable and unique experiences for audiences of all ages. Matthew holds a high honors with distinction degree in mechanical engineering from Hofstra University, and has studied technical design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
